THE GRAPE AND THE GRAIN began in early 2012 as a solo project for Daniel Grimsland, Bassist for Woodstock, NY’s Progressive Rock band ’3′. Their debut album “”Better Keep Digging”" is a true “”solo project”" featuring Grimsland on all instruments and vocals, as well as, producer and songwriter. After Grimsland finished “”Better Keep Digging”" it was clear he could no longer move forward on his own, so he called on long time friends and music collaborators Jacob Kolbinski (Guitar), Josiah Smith (Bass) ( both members of Ghost Among The Dead, The Ricochet, and The Ciggs), as well as, Jacob’s brother David Kolbinski (Drums) (The Daydreamers) to join him in this project. The band began performing in November 2012 and “”Better Keep Digging”" was released on April 9th 2013, available now on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon…

Now in 2013 the band has released “”The Hudson”", continues to perform and is currently working on new material at Applehead Studio in Woodstock, NY.
