Albany-based singer/songwriter Zan Strumfeld began her folk singing adventure one summer, weak from the heat and a broken heart. Her lyrics address her deepest secrets, rinsed in the raw simplicity of a singer-songwriter baring her soul. Spending most of her time with a steel-string guitar, she’s found nylon strings to be more suited for her voice and the sad but seducing rhythms she likes to play.
